Cottonwood Park

Nestled along the northeastern shore of Lewisville Lake, the newly renovated Cottonwood Park offers a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. Visitors can savor lakefront views while enjoying a meal at one of the day-use pavilions or strolling along the scenic paved and granite trails.

The park also features picnic tables overlooking the water and spots for shoreline fishing. Adjacent to the park is the Cottonwood Sports Complex, home to league-play softball and baseball fields, along with a public playground open year-round. Convenient restroom facilities are available within the complex.

Next door, Cottonwood Creek Marina provides additional amenities, including boat slip rentals, jet ski and boat rentals, and a ship’s store that stays open throughout the year.

Cottonwood Park Nature Trail

The Cottonwood Trail is a 1.5-mile, rustic woodchip trail. It is located at the end of Lobo Lane.
There are two trailheads that hikers can access; the first is across the street from the Cottonwood Sports Complex, and the second is at the end of Hardwicke Lane. From either trailhead, hikers can navigate the entire trail system and numerous lake access points.
The trail guides hikers through one of the most pristine park areas. This trail is heavily canopied along the lake, leading into an open field of cedar trees.

Reservations & Rentals

Visitors to Cottonwood Park can utilize day-use pavilions and larger full day pavilions. There are 19 day-use pavilions to choose from and five larger pavilions for bigger gatherings. View the location of the pavilions below and click on the icons to book one today.
